OUR PEOPLE

Dr. Juma, Edwin DNP, CRNP, AGNP.
Primary Care Provider

Confident smiling provider

I’m Dr. Juma Edwin, DNP, CRNP, AGNP-C, a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner at Kwanza Clinic specializing in Adult and Geriatric primary care. I graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2019 and I am certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AGNP-C). My clinical practice focuses on Comprehensive Primary Care, Chronic disease management, preventive services, and coordinated care for Adult and Older adults.

I have a special interest in Substance Use Disorder and provide evidence-based treatment and support for Alcohol, Opioid, and Nicotine use disorders, including medication management, relapse prevention planning, and connection to community resources. My approach is patient-centered and collaborative: I listen first, prioritize shared decision-making, and tailor care plans to each person’s goals and lifestyle.

I am proud to be recognized for clinical excellence — Baltimore Magazine’s Excellence in Nursing (2025) — and was named University of Maryland Medical System, Team Member of the Year (2025). I am accepting new patients and welcome adults across the lifespan for routine care, chronic condition follow-up, and addiction-related treatment.
